Settle a Bet

I'm going to pose a simple question to all of you.  I'd like you to respond in the form of a comment.  And I'd like you to be completely honest.  There's a lot at stake here.  So here it is:

Have you, at any point in your entire life, ever made a grilled cheese sandwich, dipped it in ketchup, eaten it, and actually enjoyed it?  In other words, have you ever willfully dipped a grilled cheese sandwich in ketchup?

Just leave a comment.  Best of the first 11 responses wins.  Thanks for your time.

oh man holy hell yes i love it. tomato soup works well and i know a lot of people who dip it in that. ketchup is basically a variation on the theme. i put ketchup on eggs too, wonder which one is more popular.

Fuck, are you kidding me? I feel like either one of two situations occured between you and I specifically based around this.

Either A)I did this in front of you and you called me crazy and smashed my plate out of my hand and told me it was an abomination and now no one can have it, or B)we both realized how incredible it was, and bonded over it, and then we looked deeply into each others eyes, and it got awkward for a moment, and then we pet Stookie, but she didn't care either way.

I remember dipping my sandwich into some ketchup and eating it. That was a magical night, my friend. I remember it vividly.

I was 18 and on shore leave from my first year in the Navy. I somehow found myself in a fine after hours establishment called Nathan's Nubian Nights.

Let's just say I prefer the dark meat.

Anyway, I was there for about 5 minutes and then I heard the phrase that changed my life:

"Now on the main stage, for your viewing pleasure, it's our favorite Nubian Princess, Ketchup!!!"

She wore nothing but a bikini made of cinnamon dental floss and a smile.

I'll leave out the details (because I'm a gentleman), but I will say that she was tangier than Heinz 57.

It gets you over here. And here.

Is anyone else hungry now too?

What?

Why is everyone looking at me like that?

***Disclaimer***** This is Whitney.

I did this like 5 times this week. I LOVE it! Its just a faster option to tomato soup. MMMMM ketchup!

Don't judge me.

i whole heartedly disagree with Whitney and very much agree with the anonymous person above who described gagging just thinking about such an horrifying act. Ketchup belongs on very little. And that "very little" doesn't not include grilled cheese in any way. I'm sure cheese feels the same way.

I know I am late, but for the record. It's foul. Dipping your sandwich in anything really is foul, except maybe soup from time to time. A sandwich is a ready to go option. No stuff needed besides the things that have already been provided for you on the sandwich. If it's so good, why was it not on the sandwich to begin with? I would never dip my grilled cheese in ketchup. Never.
